What the planner checks
Every rule below is checked in the app and in the planner on this site.
- A processor without graphics needs a graphics card; processor graphics work only with a processor that has them.
- The cooler must be rated for the processor's watts.
- The 16-core processor needs the premium-power ATX motherboard.
- 128 GB of memory needs a motherboard with four memory slots.
- A compact case takes micro-ATX boards and short graphics cards only.
- Long graphics cards and the 360 mm liquid cooler need a mid or full tower.
- The power supply must give at least 130 % of the estimated draw: processor + graphics + 75 W + 10 W per hard disk.
- Each use has a recommended amount of memory; below it the planner gives advice, without blocking the build.
